The 2019 Special Edition Estate Cabernet Sauvignon marks a return to our origins and embodies the legacy of our namesake, La Fantesca. The adversities faced in the 2020 vintage strengthened our resolve and resilience. In honor of these triumphs, we are proud to present the second release of our 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, uniquely crafted for collectors and adorned with the grace of Lady Fantesca on the bottle.
Crafted by Heidi Barrett, this single-vineyard masterpiece from Spring Mountain exhibits a dark garnet hue, releasing fragrant waves of black currants, ripe cherries, and a touch of spice. It harmoniously mirrors these aromas in its flavor, infusing the palate with lush blackberry, delicately toasted French oak, and a hint of blueberry, courtesy of our Cabernet Franc blend. Its rich texture, complemented by well-balanced tannins, promises a lasting finish. While it exudes youthful charm now, its potential will only magnify with time.

From the Winemaker
Dark garnet in color with aromas of black currants, ripe cherries and spice. The wine has a lovely Cabernet character in both aromas and flavors. Similar ripe fruit flavors as in the nose — blackberry, medium toasted French oak and a touch of blueberry from our Cabernet Franc blending grape. Chewy texture across the palate and moderate tannin structure with an extended finish. While young now, this will benefit beautifully from more time in the bottle and will age very well. A great wine for collectors.
