Our First Vintage
The grapes for this award-winning Napa Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested from Fantesca’s Spring Mountain estate in 2002. The wine displays an intense deep purple hue and a richness that, when swirled, allows the wine to cling to the glass in a perfect red curtain that foretells its bold character. The entry, mid-palate, and great, long finish make exaggerated statements, each in their own way. Ripe black cherry flavors predominate in a complex mouthful of fruit, and tannins are firm but well textured. The ample acidity of this wine fulfills its balance and structure which extrude layers of flavor into an extremely long finish.
This wine will perhaps show best in 3 to 4 years and should survive 15 to 20 years.
