Celebrate Mardi Gras 2019
in New Orleans with Fantesca

Mardi Gras is a holiday steeped in Creole and Catholic traditions that is synonymous with frolicking fun, masquerading and revelry. We are thrilled to announce that Fantesca will be returning to celebrate Mardi Gras in style for 2019 two years after Duane and Susan Hoff were honored as King and Queen of the Krewe of Mid-City, serving as his and her royal majesties. The Hoff’s have celebrated Mardi Gras with the Krewe of Mid-City since 2001 and are delighted to invite our collectors of Fantesca Estate & Winery to be part of the royal festivities in 2019.

Fantesca is proud to host a private dinner at the world-renowned, 176-year-old French Creole restaurant, Antoine’s. In keeping with NOLA’s rich, historical tradition, we’ll assemble an escorted second line (walking parade) complete with a dixieland band out after dinner. Cocktail dresses for women, jackets and collared shirts for men are required. Comfortable shoes recommended.

Join their majesties King & Queen LXXXIV of the Krewe of Mid-City for the not to miss party of Mardi Gras. The royal court is presented in a performance that takes you through a fairytale experience during the times of kings and queens, bringing the Mardi Gras theme to life. The Krewe of Mid-City is one of the few older krewes that still holds a traditional Supper Dance. It’s an opportunity to celebrate with each other and retain the social quality that Mardi Gras has meant for the South. Despite the name Supper and Dance, all forms of chivalry abide and it is a formal event. Ladies are expected to wear long ball gowns and gloves covering their elbows, and gentlemen attire is equality exquisite in tuxedos or military dress uniforms.
