Duane Hoff
From the aisles of Best Buy to the vineyard trails of Napa Valley, Duane Hoff's career is as vibrant and full-bodied as a Fantesca vintage. Coaxed into retail by his wife, Susan, Duane started as a mere Assistant Store Manager in 1992 but quickly ascended to VP of Business Development and Strategy by 1998.
His vision and acumen led to the innovative small store initiative, opening new markets and pouring an additional $400 million into Best Buy's coffers. But the allure of the grape proved irresistible, and Duane left the corporate world in 2004 to plant new roots as co-founder of Fantesca Estate & Winery.
A man of both vision and vigor, Duane channels his energy into community efforts, fundraising for education and leadership opportunities in St. Helena. If he's not at the winery or in a board meeting, you might find Duane racing triathlons, riding waves, or playing touch rugby — defying the groans of his "aging" body with a wink and a smile.
