On record as one of the easiest growing years, this 2021 vintage of our Russian River Chardonnay is simply superb. The season started slow with a cold, dry winter but warm spring weather and moderate summer temperatures resulted in a longer growing season, allowing the fruit to slowly ripen while maintaining bright acidity.
This wine is a beautiful, medium-bodied Chardonnay with a luscious mouthfeel and notes of lemon, green apple, and creme brûlée on the palate and nose. Emulating the illustrious wines of Burgundy, bâtonnage and just a kiss of French oak give this non-malolactic Chardonnay a delicate richness. The resulting wine is a lovely balance of flavor and acidity with a long finish that keeps you coming back sip after sip.

From the Winemaker
Pale straw in color, our Chardonnay has aromas of crème brûlée, pears, green apple, citrus, and just a kiss of toasty French oak. Gorgeous layered aromas lead to a medium-bodied Chardonnay with lovely balance and flavors similar to the aromatics. Nice acidity and a clean, lingering finish round out this non-malolactic Chablis-style Russian River Chardonnay. This release will continue to develop with age. Enjoy!
